Before the floods- a Documentary photo shoot with the Pauwels family.
A mere weeks before the big floods that changed the Karoo, the Pauwels family invited me to join them on a small part of their South African holiday. We explored the waterfall and luckily a very quiet road in Meiringspoort, shooting moment based documentary images with one or two happy portraits in between. Right at the end of the shoot we drove to Herrie’s stone where Bart and Birte shared a very personal vow renewal with Lenn and Matts watching in interest.

It was a welcome return to Danabaai with the Vercueil family, who are celebrating the end of the year with a family summer holiday in the Garden Route. It’s amazing to photograph a family every couple of years and see the changes over the years.

Day in the Life documentary family shoot – Getz Family
I joined the Getz family on a part of their South African Adventure in the Garden Route. We started with a laid-back afternoon session in Wilderness and ended an afternoon of adventure and exploring at the tidal rock pools near Sedgefield. It is always a privilege to shoot these sessions and amazing to work with a fellow Fearless Photographer.
